BIOGRAPHY

After earning my Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Fashion Design with Textiles, I transitioned into freelance fashion accessory design, specialising in sculpting bags and hats from wood. Concurrently, I maintained an active presence in fine art, taking on commissioned projects spanning illustration, pictorials, murals, set design, and prop making. In 2016, I embarked on a new path, sharing my expertise by teaching art, design, and craft to diverse age groups in educational settings.

Driven by a desire to deepen my understanding of both my identity as an artist and an educator, I pursued a Master of Arts in Art Education at Oxford Brookes University, achieving graduation with Distinction. This transformative experience significantly impacted both my artistic and teaching practices, expanding my knowledge and insight into the nuances of my role as an artist and educator. The MA program played a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing my dual identity, fostering a profound and positive evolution in my approach to art and education.

Presently, my focus revolves around advancing my drawing skills, with a preference for utilising pencil and Biro pen. I gain particular satisfaction from creating portraiture and still life compositions through these mediums. This ongoing exploration allows me to express my artistic vision and captivate audiences through the interplay of lines, shadows and mark-making.
